Is a Laser ever used?

There are two different types of Laser Eye Procedures are used after Refractive Lensectomy in some cases.

The first one is Excimer Laser Procedure. It allows to fine tune your  distance (far away ) vision, especially if you started with a complex Refractive Error like Astigmatism (Blurred Vision) for example.

The posterior lens capsule may turn cloudy several months, or years, after the original operation. If this blurs your vision, a clear opening can be made painlessly,  in the centre of the membrane with a YAG laser, to correct the problem.

However, Laser Eye Surgery is never part of the original Lensectomy Procedure.
